Description ~ This to scale half size sculpt of a European female skull. This was sculpted during covid at my first year of uni. On top of the sculpt I also sculpted the muscles on half of the face.

WITCHDOCTOR – ‘Of Love and Other Demons’ ~

PROJECT ~ Rabid Dog inspired witchdoctor mask.
DESCRIPTION ~ This is a fibreglass mask, which is moulded to fit any performer to be used in a theatre performance. The mask also consists of foam clay for the teeth, scraps of strings and twigs and real springbok dear horns sourced ethically. The mask can open and close using velcro supports to showcase the voodoo engravings on the mask and to create an ominous, creepy character.

DESCRIPTION ~ After 3D modelling the mask on Blender, I 3D printed it using PLA plastic, which is sustainable as it is from recycled plastic. The is attached to bra strap to adjust to any head size and is spraypainted using an air brush gun with metallic paints.

‘Diosivore ’– SCULPT ~
PROJECT ~ Diosivore Sculpt inspired by Love Death and Robots.
DESCRIPTION ~ This a half scale head sculpt from my character drawing, using chavant clay. Sculpted this at home due to COVID-19. Diosivore, is inspired by an episode of Love Death and Robots called Sonni’s Edge. This character is a mixture of the top apex predators that I associate with myself and would be bonded to me.
‘Diosivore ’– MUSCLE BODY PADDING ~
PROJECT ~ Diosivore - body padding.
DESCRIPTION ~ I created a muscle underbody padding. I experimented using stretch lycra fabric and carved in to reticulated foam to form the muscles. I also used scraps of foam, which I heated and formed into the bone like weapon of the character.

PHYSICAL CYBER CAT – Stray ~ Tera B.Y.T 3 ~
PROJECT ~ Animatronic Cat – Tera B.Y.T 3
DESCRIPTION ~ Using my 3D model, I 3D printed some of the parts in PLA plastic and resin. For the ears, head and the legs of the cat I sculpted using chavant and created a silicone mould of them. I then proceeded to hair punch the silicone, using fur from National Hair and Fibre and created a pattern In reference to my own cats. To puppeteer the cat, it is all done through servo motors, which I self-taught myself to code them to move on their own. The cats ears move, it has a breathing mechanic and the resin articulate tail moves as well. The cats eyes and the neck light up using LED diodes. The whole cat is placed on a platform I made from a cutting board and coat hangers which is also lit up using LED strips.
This project is very dear to me, as it based off my pets and I have produced an emotional connection, which makes me question how far can technology really go.

‘Monochrome 101’– 3D Printed Handbag~
PROJECT ~ Monochrome 101 – personal project – custom 3D Printed handbag
DESCRIPTION ~ Handbag 3D printed using TPU filament for the bag to be flexible. Bag itself and handle are 3D printed and attached together with a stainless-steel clip.

‘Stone Lion Puppets’ – Chinese Theatre Production – Plastazote ~
PROJECT ~ Animatronic Lion for a Chinese theatre production.
DESCRIPTION ~ For an international children theatre production, I helped create and pattern lion puppets. I created 2 lion puppets, a boy and a girl. They are made from various thicknesses of plastazote. The eyes, ears, mouth and eyebrows are automated and mechanically moved by the performer.

DESCRIPTION ~ 4 finished animatronic Stone Lions for Chinese theatre production. Primed, texturized and painted to look like stone. This project was on a tight deadline and took a total of 2 and a half months to complete.
Tao Tao Puppet Animation ~ Mask ~
PROJECT ~ Tao Tao’s Shop – Mask
DESCRIPTION ~ I created a mask for the character Tao Tao for an animation to be viewed at an arts festival. 3D printed head covered in fleece material. The hat was patterned from a 3D print to plastazote, then using blue and white fleece triangles, sewed together and glues to the hat.
